The stock profit calculator computes: Net Profit = (Sell Price − Buy Price) × Shares − Brokerage Fees. ROI = (Net Profit ÷ Total Investment) × 100. Profit Margin = (Net Profit ÷ Total Revenue) × 100.
Buy: 50 shares at $40 = $2,000 total cost
Sell: 50 shares at $58 = $2,900 total revenue
Brokerage fee: $10 each way = $20 total
Net Profit = $2,900 − $2,000 − $20 = $880
ROI = ($880 ÷ $2,000) × 100 = 44%
Profit Margin = ($880 ÷ $2,900) × 100 = 30.3%
Our crypto profit calculator works for all cryptocurrencies — Bitcoin profit calculator (BTC), Dogecoin profit calculator, XRP profit calculator, Ethereum, and any other coin. The formula is identical to the stock profit calculator: Crypto Profit = (Exit Price − Entry Price) × Quantity − Exchange Fees. Select Crypto mode and enter your entry price, exit price, and amount of coins.
Buy: 0.5 BTC at $42,000 = $21,000 total
Sell: 0.5 BTC at $68,000 = $34,000 total
Exchange fee: 0.5% buy + 0.5% sell = $275 total
Net Profit = $34,000 − $21,000 − $275 = $12,725
ROI = ($12,725 ÷ $21,000) × 100 = 60.6%
The eBay profit calculator must account for eBay's multi-layer fee structure that can take 13–18% of your total sale price. Many eBay sellers are shocked to discover their real profit is far lower than expected. Our eBay profit calculator automatically applies:
| eBay Sale Price | Total Fees (~15%) | Cost ($60) | Net Profit | Net Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $50 | $7.50 | $60 | −$17.50 | Loss |
| $80 | $12.00 | $60 | $8.00 | 10% |
| $100 | $15.00 | $60 | $25.00 | 25% |
| $150 | $22.50 | $60 | $67.50 | 45% |
The home sale profit calculator and house profit calculator must account for far more deductions than most people realize. Our house sale profit calculator includes: purchase price, sale price, realtor commission (typically 5–6%), closing costs (1–3%), home improvements made during ownership, and capital gains tax considerations (if applicable — up to $250K gain excluded for single filers who lived there 2+ years).
The Etsy profit calculator is essential for Etsy sellers because fees can take 10–15% of your sale price — more if you use Etsy's Offsite Ads program. A seller earning $50 per item might net only $38–42 after all fees. Our Etsy profit calculator includes:
Our options profit calculator calculates profit from call and put options contracts. Profit = (Exit Premium − Entry Premium) × Contracts × 100 (standard lot size). For a long call: if you buy a call at $2.50 premium and sell at $5.00, profit = ($5.00 − $2.50) × 1 contract × 100 = $250. The futures profit calculator uses similar logic: Profit = (Exit Price − Entry Price) × Contract Size × Number of Contracts.
The Amazon profit calculator is one of the most complex because Amazon has multiple fee layers. Our tool estimates: Amazon Referral Fee (8–15% depending on category), FBA Fulfillment Fee (weight-based, typically $3–$8 per unit), Monthly Storage Fee ($0.75–$2.40 per cubic foot), and any advertising spend. A product selling for $25 can have $8–12 in Amazon fees, leaving thin margins even at healthy markups.
The Forex profit calculator converts pip movements to dollar profit. Formula: Profit = (Exit Price − Entry Price) × Lot Size × Pip Value. For a standard lot (100,000 units) on EUR/USD: 1 pip = $10. If you enter at 1.1000 and exit at 1.1050 (50 pips gain) with 1 standard lot: Profit = 50 × $10 = $500. Our Forex profit calculator supports standard, mini, and micro lots.
The Airbnb profit calculator estimates host income after Airbnb's 3% service fee, cleaning costs, utilities, and maintenance. Monthly revenue = Nightly Rate × Occupancy Days. After deducting Airbnb fee (3%), cleaning ($50–150/booking), utilities, and mortgage/rent, the true Airbnb profit can vary widely. Enter your nightly rate, occupancy rate, and costs in the Airbnb mode for a realistic monthly and annual profit estimate.
Profit optimization tip: The most powerful way to increase profit margin is to reduce the cost basis — not just increase the selling price. A 10% reduction in your cost has the same profit impact as a much larger increase in selling price. Use our gross profit calculator to model different cost/price combinations and find your optimal margin target.
Answers for stock profit, crypto profit, eBay, Etsy, Amazon, gross profit, options, home sale, and ROI questions.
Use the stock profit calculator formula: Net Profit = (Sell Price − Buy Price) × Shares − Fees. Profit % = (Net Profit ÷ Total Cost) × 100. Example: buy 100 shares at $45, sell at $62. Gross profit = ($62 − $45) × 100 = $1,700. After $20 fees: Net profit = $1,680. Profit % = $1,680 ÷ $4,500 × 100 = 37.3% ROI. Switch to Investment → Stocks mode in our calculator above and enter your buy/sell price, quantity, and fees for an instant result.
Our crypto profit calculator works for Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin, XRP, Ethereum, and any cryptocurrency. Formula: Profit = (Exit Price − Entry Price) × Quantity − Exchange Fees. Bitcoin profit calculator example: buy 0.25 BTC at $35,000 = $8,750 invested. Sell at $60,000 = $15,000 proceeds. Exchange fees 1% = $237.50. Net profit = $15,000 − $8,750 − $237.50 = $6,012.50 (68.7% ROI). Works identically as a Dogecoin profit calculator, XRP profit calculator, or any coin.
Gross profit = Revenue − Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) only. It ignores operating expenses, platform fees, and other costs. Net profit = Revenue − All costs including fees, shipping, advertising, and overhead. Example on eBay: sell for $100, cost $60. Gross profit = $40 (40% margin). After eBay fees of $15 and shipping $8: Net profit = $17 (17% net margin). Our gross profit calculator and net profit calculator show both simultaneously. For accurate decision-making, always use net profit.
Our home sale profit calculator formula: Net Profit = Sale Price − Purchase Price − Realtor Commission − Closing Costs − Improvements − Capital Gains Tax. Real example: Bought for $320,000, sold for $500,000. Realtor 6% = $30,000. Closing costs 1.5% = $7,500. Improvements = $15,000. Net profit = $500,000 − $320,000 − $30,000 − $7,500 − $15,000 = $127,500. ROI = $127,500 ÷ $320,000 = 39.8%. Use the Real Estate mode in our house profit calculator above for any scenario.
eBay fees typically total 12.5–15% of sale price (12.9% final value fee + 2.7% payment processing + $0.30). On a $100 sale: ~$15 in fees. Etsy fees total ~10%: 6.5% transaction fee + 3% payment processing + $0.25 + $0.20 listing. On a $100 Etsy sale: ~$10 in fees. Our eBay profit calculator and Etsy profit calculator auto-apply these rates — just enter your item cost and sale price to see your true net profit and whether your pricing is profitable.
ROI (Return on Investment) = (Net Profit ÷ Total Cost) × 100 — measures return relative to what you spent. Profit Margin = (Net Profit ÷ Revenue) × 100 — measures what % of revenue is profit. Example: cost $60, sell $100, net profit $40. ROI = $40 ÷ $60 × 100 = 66.7% (66.7 cents profit per dollar spent). Profit Margin = $40 ÷ $100 × 100 = 40% (40 cents profit per dollar earned). ROI is always higher than margin for the same transaction. Our profit calculator shows both metrics automatically.
The options profit calculator and futures profit calculator calculate: Profit = (Exit Price − Entry Price) × Quantity × Contract Multiplier − Fees. For a standard equity option: 1 contract = 100 shares. If you buy a call option at $3.00 premium and sell at $7.50: Profit = ($7.50 − $3.00) × 1 × 100 = $450 per contract. ROI = $450 ÷ $300 = 150%. Select Investment → Options in our calculator, enter entry premium, exit premium, and number of contracts for instant results including break-even strike price.
Yes. Our Amazon profit calculator mode includes Amazon referral fee (adjustable, default 15%), FBA fulfillment fee, and storage costs to show true net profit per unit. For an item selling at $25 with $8 cost: after $3.75 referral fee + $3.50 FBA = net profit ~$9.75 (39% margin). Our Airbnb profit calculator mode calculates host earnings: nightly rate × occupancy nights − 3% Airbnb service fee − cleaning costs − utilities = monthly and annual net profit. Select Selling → Amazon or Selling → Airbnb in the calculator.
